Dear Submissions Department, In April's issue, you announced a call for submissions from new artists. I'm a recent graduate of the New York Art Institute, so my career is just getting underway. My work has won several awards from contests and exhibitions 1 at my school, but I haven't displayed my work yet at a gallery. Per the guidelines listed in the submissions request, I've enclosed both a résumé 2 a short autobiography, as well as 8 x10 photographs of several of my pieces. I'd love to have my work shown in your magazine, since I've had nothing but respect for your 3 since I started subscribing to it seven years ago.
