Once, our team was working on a very large-scale project and it was so time-consuming that all members almost gave up. With help from our supervisor, we got the project done eventually.
Last year, I worked on a project where we had to make a 3-5 minute film to introduce the software company I worked for. My team came up with the idea of exploring software trends through the decades since we thought it would be exciting to see the innovations in software applications over the years. However, after actually working on it, we found that editing the film would be much more time-consuming than we had anticipated, especially when we tried to squeeze too much content into the film. So we almost wanted to give up on it. Eventually after our supervisor jumped in and mapped out a timeline, we could just concertrate on key elements and get the project done. The lesson I learned was to be realistic and focus on workable ideas only.
- The lesson I learned was to be [adjective] and focus on [something] only.

幫忙轉接電話時,也常聽到 I'll connect you. 或 I'll transfer you. 等。
A: Is Harry Butterfield there?
B: Yes, just a moment, please, and I'll put you through.
Can you put me through to Mr. Harris?
I'd like to speak to the person who's in charge of accounting.
I'm trying to reach Mr. Harris in the editorial department.
這裡的 a minute 不是一分鐘,而是 與 moment 一樣,是「片刻」的意思,因此也有很多人會說 Just a moment, please.。
Just a minute, please.
Just a second.
Hold on just a moment.
Hang on a sec. / Just a sec.
