假如你拿起一顆石頭往前丟，大概只能丟個五十或一百公尺。因此，如果一家商店、一棟房子或者某條街只是 "a stone's throw away" ，那就表示「相當地近」。
This house is in a great location. Our kids' high school is a stone's throw away.這棟房子地點很棒，離孩子們的中學很近。

正確說英文
所有學習語言的人都應該分析自己製造出來的錯誤！語言文字上的錯誤會造成溝通上的困擾，更會使說話者的專業形象大打折扣。要掌握一門語言，必須掌握英文語法與語意的特質，培養使用正確英語的良好習慣。
突破盲點：Evidence 為不可數名詞，不可加s，亦不可用many 修飾。（注意，常用的information 亦為不可數名詞。）

突破盲點：Advice 為不可數名詞，無複數，若要表「幾個」意見或忠告，可使用量詞piece，如：two pieces of advice。

突破盲點：In one's view 和in one's opinion 兩片語中的 view 和 opinion 都不用複數。
