One of my previous managers said I was not an efficient and productive leader, because I underestimated the time needed to complete a project. I learned to examine tasks more carefully afterwards.

One of my previous managers once became upset with me since some projects I led were not being completed on time so our team lost some cases. He criticized me and pointed out that I was not an efficient and productive leader; our team lost some important clients because I underestimated the amount of time the projects would take us to complete. I thought the criticism was true and helpful and I learned it's important to examine tasks more carefully so I can better estimate the amount of time needed to complete them. In addition, I also need to build some flextime into projects in case something unexpected comes up.
