Giving good service is an essential part of business. And part of giving good service is to let people know that you are making efforts to give good service. One way of building and maintaining relationships with customers is to invite them frequently to activities you are holding in your company, or indeed to private events in your life such as parties or family occasions. Let’s look at how to do this.

*Notice that the serving set-phrases use ‘we’ and ‘our’. This is because you are representing the company when you write. It’s not a good idea to use ‘I’ or ‘me’ in these set-phrases, as you might sound too servile. After all, you’re not a slave, right?! *However, you can see that the inviting set-phrases can use both ‘I’ and ‘me’ or ‘we’ and ‘us’. This depends on whether the invitation is official, for a formal company event, or personal. It also depends on what kind of relationship you have with the customer. If you know each other well and have been doing business for a long time, you can be more personal, using ‘I’ and ‘me’.
