中式英文If you promise that you will buy 5,000 units, we will give you 15% discount.
老外這樣說要提出條件和廠商討價還價,以 " We'd be willing to [do something] on the condition that your company [do something]. " 此句型,即可傳達「若貴公司願意 [ 做某事],我們就願意 [ 做某事]」之意,聽起來既專業又不會像中式英文句那樣生澀。
A:What's your discount on orders of this size?
B:We'd be willing to offer a 15% discount on the condition that your company guaranteed an order of 5,000 units. A:針對這種規模的訂單,你們的優惠為何?
B:如果貴公司能保證訂購五千組,我們願意提供八五折優惠。
On orders of 5,000 units or more, we can offer 15%.訂購數量達五千組以上的話,我們可以提供八五折的優惠。
For an order of 5,000 units, we could probably knock 15% off the total.針對五千套的訂單,我們應該能減免全額百分之十五的貨款。

所有學習語言的人都應該分析自己製造出來的錯誤!語言文字上的錯誤會造成溝通上的困擾,更會使說話者的專業形象大打折扣。要掌握一門語言,必須掌握英文語法與語意的特質,培養使用正確英語的良好習慣。
