Although English has always been my native language, there were numerous tactical approaches to mastering the language that I have never had the chance to encounter. After being at APEX, I learned of ways to memorize and remember a large number of vocabulary words and sentence structural formats. The teachers at APEX studied English as their second language, thus offering a new window to inspect the language. I think that the teachers of the APEX team are the best of the best because it is near impossible to find another group that can increase the English abilities of their students in such a short time period as well as this team.

I would like to thank the group of teachers and teacher assistants at APEX for guiding me throughout this tough period. My Chinese may not be able to cope with the sophistication of the words used by the teachers to explain certain entities. As a result, I had to rely largely on the teacher assistants. Despite all the difficulties, APEX aided me in this achievement. However, I must add that throughout the mock tests, my scores were much more ideal in comparison to what I actually got.

A last note for this reflection is that the SAT test is not much of a test of English ability. Although this may be the best testing can possibly get, memorization and perseverance can help to achieve a high score on this SAT. A good university to go to is a good start. Take your chances and give it what you got.
