This Employment Contract will take effect on January as long as the parties concerned agree to the terms and conditions below:
1. Duties:
The Employee must fulfill the duties that Employer deems necessary to the best of his or her abilities and the interests of the Company. Failure to do so will violate this Contract and will result in the Employee being terminated.
2. Payment:
The Salary and / or royalties will be negotiable between the Employer and Employee. If these terms are agreeable, please put your signature or seal below.
本雇用契約，在各方當事人同意下列條款的情況下，將於1月4日生效：
1. 職責：
受雇者必須發揮他／她最大能力，並為了公司利益而履行雇主認為必要的職責。若未能履行職責，將違反此契約，且將造成受雇者之雇用身分被終止。
2. 酬勞：
薪資及／或權利金可由雇主與受雇者之間彼此協商。若同意上述條件，請在下方簽名或蓋章。

*衍生字為 contractor「承包商」
2. take effect 生效；發揮效力
3. parties concerned 相關人士；當事人
*在法律方面，相關的人、組織都用party來指稱，而concerned是「有關的」之意。也可說成party interested
4. terms and conditions 條款
*terms與conditions為同義字
5. fulfill【及】履行；實現
*名詞為fulfillment「實現、履行」
6. deem【及】認為
7. violate【及】違反（契約條款等）
*名詞為violation
8. terminate【及】終止（契約等）
*名詞為termination
9. royalty【名】（著作權等的）使用費、權利金；（出版品等的）版稅
*royalty也有「王位；皇族」之意。另外，royalty容易與loyalty（忠誠；忠心）弄混，請特別留意
10. negotiable【形】可協商的
*動詞為negotiate，表「談判、協商」
11. signature【名】署名；簽名
*「簽名」的動詞要用sign。而signature指的是「契約書或正式文件上的簽名」，「名人及作家等的簽名」則用autograph表示
12. seal【名】印章；封印 【及】蓋章；密封
