Desert Valley Tours
Welcome to Desert Valley—A destination unlike any other!
Located just minutes away from downtown Hagerton, Desert Valley Tours offers a range of hiking and dining options to help you explore and enjoy the beautiful Desert Valley. Departing from the Desert Inn Hotel lobby, you can enjoy scenic views, delightful hiking adventures, or evening elegance. The choice is yours!
Full Day Tour
*The Desert Valley Grand Tour is by far our most popular. Enjoy breakfast at the charming Dessert Inn cafe, and then take a mid-day jeep ride and walkabout through the Hagerton Wilderness Area, where a light picnic lunch will be served. Finish the evening with dinner and drinks at the historic Old Horse Saloon in Frankton. The Desert Valley Tour bus will make a stop in downtown Hagertown before returning to the Desert Inn.
Mid-Day Tour
*Departing at 11:00 a.m., the Cactus Peak Day Hike offers beautiful panorama views of Desert Valley as you ramble to the summit of Cactus Peak. Afterwards you’ll stop by the historic Old Horse Saloon in historic Frankton for a late buffet lunch, beverages, and live entertainment before returning to downtown Hagerton via Bus 12.
Evening Tours
*The Desert Valley Skyline Tour is known for combining gorgeous views with first class convenience. Enjoy the leisurely ride to the top of the mountain on the sleek and comfortable Skyline Tramway. Savor a five-course meal at the luxurious Peak Pit Restaurant and watch the sun set over Desert Valley. The Desert Valley Tour bus will make a stop in downtown Hagertown before returning to the Desert Inn.
*For something different, try the Desert Moonlight Hike, offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the spring and summer. Explore Desert Valley and Cactus Peak by night with guide Roger Rick! Tour departs at 5 p.m. Flashlights will be provided. Bus 12 will return you to downtown Hagerton.
