The following is a notice from human resources to all personnel. We will be conducting performance evaluations in order to determine who to lay off. We will also consider some employees for relocation. Please note that this is in compliance with the labor unions. If an employee opts to quit or resign, we will offer paid holidays and add an allowance to his or her paycheck as incentive. Some staff members may be up for a promotion or a raise, depending on the results of the evaluation.
以下是人力資源部門給所有員工的通知。為了決定裁員對象，我們將進行績效考核。我們也將考慮轉調一些員工。請注意，此事符合工會要求。若有員工選擇離職或辭職，我們除了提供帶薪休假外，還會外加一份津貼在薪水中做為獎勵。而依據考核結果，有些員工也可能獲得升遷或加薪。

常簡稱為H. R.
2. personnel【名】全體員工；人事部
3. performance【名】績效；成績
4. evaluation【名】評估；考核
同義字為appraisal、assessment等
5. lay off 解雇；裁員
6. relocation【名】轉調；搬遷
7. labor union 工會
8. quit【及動】及 放棄；停止（工作、習慣等）；辭職
9. resign【不及動】辭職
同義字用法為step down或 leave ones job
10. paid holidays 帶薪休假
11. allowance【名】津貼；零用金
overtime allowance（加班津貼；加班費）、meal allowance（伙食津貼）
12. paycheck【名】薪水
salary、pay、payroll等也都能以「薪水」之意使用。另外，wage是指「日薪、週薪」之類的工資。
13. incentive【名】誘因；獎勵
14. promotion【名】升遷；晉升；提倡
15. raise【名】加薪
