This week, we are going to look at a common error with ‘notice’ to avoid in your writing.
 
These errors are very common in Taiwan.
 
Task 1: Study the error box.
Wrong
Right
 Please notice me when you return.
 
 Please notice me about the new project.
 
 Please notice about my new telephone number.
 
 Please notify me when you return.
 
 Please notify me about the new project.
 
 Please note my new telephone number.
 
Notes:
*Never say ‘notice me’. It’s Chinglish!
*‘Note’ and ‘notice’ can also be nouns: ‘She sent me a note.’ ‘I didn’t see the notice.’
